This was a Christmas gift for a family member (definitely finished on time and definitely not given to them the July following Christmas).
Pattern by: ahookamigurumi
I made this early on in my crochet journey. This was the first ever blanket I made.
Granny squares can feel repetitive, so when I decided to crochet a blanket, I knew every square would have to be different to keep me interested in actually finishing the project. To be honest though, it still took so long that, by the end, I wasn’t enjoying making it. I also HATE weaving in the ends of the yarn, and I made the mistake of leaving all of them to the end of the project. Needless to say, this was the first blanket I made in a tapestry style, but it will probably also be my last.
The majority of the patterns for the squares I got from ahookamigurumi, but any others, I found for free on Pinterest.
